*35-year-old female present with lateral neck pain.

What is the most likely diagnosis?

Answer: Eagle syndrome

Case Discussion:

VR 3D images revealed the ossification of the styloid process bilaterally, extending from the base of the skull anterolaterally and caudally to the hyoid bone.

Eagle syndrome refers to symptomatic elongation of the styloid process or calcified stylohyoid ligament. It is a condition in which there is a painful sensation in the head and neck region due to elongation of the styloid process or calcification of the stylohyoid ligament. It is often bilateral.
