Answer: Iatrogenic pneumothorax. Note pleural effusion on left in the first CXR. Large left pneumothorax with mediastinal shift to the right in the second CXR. Note the collapsed left lung and the hyperlucent left hemithorax. The pneumothorax caused by thoracentesis.
