What is the most likely diagnosis?

Answer: Otosclerosis

Case Discussion:

CT through the left temporal bone shows area of demineralization anterior to the oval window.

Otosclerosis is an idiopathic bone disease and causes deafness in adults and typically seen older patients. Otosclerosis has been described as bilateral in 80% of cases (1). It can occur at the fissula ante fenestram beside around the cochlea. CT is the modality of choice (2).
